Windermere Hotels | Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel

Awarded Cumbria Tourism's 'Small Hotel of the Year' in 2011 and English Country Hotel of the Year 2009 by the Good Hotel Guide, Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel is only a mile from bustling Bowness on Windermere, up on the hillside overlooking Lake Windermere and the Coniston Fells.

The hotel setting is a magical one of tranquillity, close to the towns of Bowness and Windermere, with amazing views over the Thomas Mawson designed seven acres of gardens down to Lake Windermere itself.

There are many hotels in Windermere, however as well as the Good Hotel Guide award, Lindeth Fell Country House Hotel has many accolades including a three star Gold Award from VisitEngland and 10/10 for service from the Sunday Times inspector.

Bowness on Windermere Hotels | Choose the one with the view!

Dinner at the hotel is a pleasure, in any one of the three lake view dining rooms. Our chefs carefully source each item to be included on the menu and present the food with a contemporary flair. The wine menu has been carefully developed to complement the food.

The wide terrace at the west side of the hotel is ideally positioned for morning coffee and homemade afternoon cream teas. The views over Lake Windermere and across to Bowness on Windermere make it even more special.

Most of the bedrooms at our luxury hotel have lake views and all have en suite bathrooms with good power showers. The three Master bedrooms are very spacious with super-king size beds and every modern amenity.

We are slightly out of Bowness on Windermere, so country walks can begin from our door. Sheena and Caroline are always ready with maps and advice. For the less energetic or for rainy days there are several notable attractions nearby either in Windermere or set in the local countryside; the nearest being Blackwell, the recently restored Arts and Crafts house half a mile up the road from Lake Windermere and the many hotels in Bowness.
